A studio run by Kevin Ng.

Kevin is a print and interaction designer, proud sufferer of chromatophobia, and unashamed pug lover. He is pursuing a joint honours degree in Design at YSDN in Toronto at the moment.

However, it hadn't always been this way. All set on pursuing a career in medicine, he traded in his paintbrushes for a molecular kit in middle school and didn't look back. Kevin left home in Ottawa to continue his studies at the University of Toronto, where he studied human biology and psychology. When his third year of studies commenced, his love of sciences and the like

had waned. He began to look back on his childhood and remembered the fascination he had with the intricacies of snowflakes and the charming disposition of well designed book covers and food packaging.

Inspired, he began the application process for design school six months and some semblance of a portfolio later, and hasn't looked back since. In addition to school, Kevin previously worked at Monnet Design, but is now a design consultant at format, and freelances at KVNG on the side.

By redesigning this site from scratch, I’ve begun to delve into PHP, jquery, and the world of mobile-first design. Many thanks to the fantastic CMS named Kirby by Bastian Allgeier and to Zurb’s Foundation 4 for making the process less painful than it would have been. Brandon Grotesque and Adobe Caslon Pro are the fonts used for the headings and copy, respectively. Thanks Typekit!
